New Constitution

As of November 26, 2008, UM IEEE has a new constitution to replace the old one that nobody has seen in the last four years. It was unanimously approved in a general meeting of UM IEEE this evening. The current constitution can always be found at http://umieee.com/Constitution.pdf.

WAA Air Traffic Control Tower Tour

IEEE GOLD Winnipeg Section Presents: WAA Air Traffic Control Tower Tour
An estimated $572 Million has been budgeted for upgrading the Winnipeg Airport.
The WAA forecasts a major increase in air traffic and revenue in the coming years.
Come and see first hand what it takes to manage the skies at an international airport.
The tour will cover the radar system and control system used in the WAA Air Traffic
Control Tower.

IEEE Winnipeg Section Annual General Meeting

The IEEE Winnipeg Section Annual General Meeting marks the gala social event of
the IEEE calendar. It pairs wine, beer, and complimentary hors d’oeuvres with a
distinguished speaker to mark the annual change in Winnipeg IEEE leadership and
celebrate the accomplishments of the parting executive.

This year the AGM will be held on February 12 at the Winnipeg Art Gallery (see
detailed schedule below). This is an excellent opportunity to learn the current
status of our Section, meet our new Executive and mingle with other IEEE members

UM IEEE Meeting: Thursday, January 17, 2008

We will be conducting a meeting this Thursday to make up for the last meeting, which has been delayed due to conflicting schedules. The meeting will be held at 5:30 in E1-514.
