Course Archives
Submitted by evan on Fri, 2007/10/12 - 01:07.In order to ensure that only UM IEEE members have access, the UM IEEE Course Archives have been taken off the website. They are still accessible through any of the machines in the UM IEEE lounge or remotely through SCP. If you do not have a computer account or do not know how to use SSH/SCP, please speak to one of the computer managers.
Remember, the course archives exist solely as a study aid. Academically dishonest use of the course archives is strictly prohibited.

Jeff and Megan's Wedding Social
Submitted by burke on Thu, 2007/06/07 - 06:15.Jeff has informed me that he would like all of us UM IEEE members at his wedding social. It's going to held June 23 at the St. Norbert Arena on Pembina Highway. You'll need a ticket to attend, so probably the best thing to do would be to email Jeff at umkendaj@cc.[domain omitted to confuse spambots].ca. More details are also
available on their website: http://meganandjeff.ca.
Linux Tip #4: Incremental backups with rdiff
Submitted by burke on Mon, 2007/06/04 - 18:19.There is a whole spectrum of complexity involved in backing up your data. On one hand, you have the option to simply copy files into a backup directory. On the other, you have backup systems like Amanda and Bacula, complex enough to give most computer engineers a headache. The middle ground I'm going to talk about today is rdiff-backup.
